Kellogg’s is getting sick n’ tired of other people making cornflakes, and want to make double sure that people don’t think that there cornflakes are going into other peoples boxes.
So when you’re munching on your Waitrose own brand corn flakes, don’t be fooled into thinking your getting Kellogg’s cornflakes. If you do a big green chicken will come round, and put you straight.
In a bid to protect their brand against imitation products, Kellogg’s are to literally brand some of their flaked corn. The cereal main men plan to burn the Kellogg’s signature on to...

Remember when I reported news about Hula-Hoops requesting the public to send in videos of their fingers messing around with their favourite crisps on them?
Well they have recently launched their TV add to encourage us to get filming, which features two would be YMCA stars. Helen Warren-Piper, marketing director of Bagged Snacks at UBUK, said: “This new TV advertising campaign, along with the on-pack promotion and Hula Hoops website will drive further consumer engagement with the brand providing retailers with increased sales opportunities.
“Some brands are the keepers of undeniable truths....

Experimental marketing people Closer, created a novel campaign to promote the new Doner Kebab flavour Pot Noodle, with a Chilli Challenge where the public compete to win their very own Pot Noodle belt! This sounds like a students dream, which I guess is the whole point.
If ‘the slag of all snacks’ takes your fancy, then the plastic pot will set you back around £1.01. By merely adding boiling water to the pot, you will be magically transported to the tastes and smells of a late-night trip to the kebab house.
The Pot Noodle marketing manager Cheryl Calverley said: “This is a true...

The Guinness world record holder for the person with the longest fingernails in the world has lost them in a car crash – only in the US. Lee Redmond, of Salt Lake City, Utah, sustained serious but not fatal injuries in the accident. Whether these injuries were the result of her ridiculously long nails or not I’m unsure. Her once record-breaking nails, which hadn’t been cut since 1979, measured in at 35 inches before the accident.
I think this was God’s way of hinting that better personal hygiene was in order. If your staff are looking like they could do with a manicure – then...

A few weeks ago I brought you news of an unprecedented marketing campaign by the Atheist Society, who were (and are) promoting their controversial but optimistic message of Atheist propaganda. Well it seems the saga continues, as the three heavy weight Christian groups are set to retaliate with a promotional campaign of their own.
It is the Christian Party, the Trinitarian Bible Society and the Russian Orthodox Church who have organised the campaign which is set to be spread onto fifty of London’s bendy buses. The first message that Londoners will be exposed to is: “There definitely is...

The London based marketing giant CMW, have posted out a limited run of Cadbury’s Crème Egg direct mail packs, to a selection of respondents from Cadbury’s 2008 digital campaign.
The packaging is humorously printed with “please do not handle with care”, while the outer packaging has a “This way up” label on the back with arrows pointing all over the place.
The wacky theme behind the brands campaign, is that the eggs inside have sabotaged the pack, hoping that carelessness will release their goo everywhere.
This direct mailer of adventurous eggs is part of a broader...

In Mexico an 11 year old boy has killed six bulls in a single fight! Little blood thirsty Franco as been bullfighting since he was just four years old. In the past many of his fights have been banned after protests by animal rights groups, but this time he wasn’t taking no for an answer and the fight went ahead.
Some 3,500 gore lovers including many children, reportedly gathered to witness the fight at the ring in the eastern city of Merida in Yucatan State. The little matador is already an international star in the world of bullfighting, as he first entered the ring when he was just four and...

The other day a New Zealander by the name of Chris Ogle 29, stumbled upon some confidential data about US military personnel on an MP3 player he bought from a thrift shop in Oklahoma!
Unbelievably according to New Zealand TV, included in the files where the names, social security and telephone numbers of American soldiers and bits of information to do with Afghanistan briefings. All of this came with warnings, saying that the release of these contents is “prohibited by federal law.”
This loss of sensitive data from the world’s most powerful organisation, which landed into the hands of...
