Brits In Town

Brits In Town
Tonight is the night the Brit Awards rolls into London’s Earls Court with; Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine, Pixie Lott and JLS all in the running for a possible hat-trick of awards.   As the UK’s biggest music award night, viewers will be treated to performances from Lady Gaga, Kasabian, Cheryl Cole, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, while Prince Harry has recorded a message for the live show, as the ceremony celebrates its 30th anniversary.   The somewhat unlikely host, Peter Kay, is the latest host of the famous awards which began back in 1977. Personalised Awards & Trophies

Personalised Awards & Trophies
Did you see the Golden Globe Awards the other night? It was the 67th year, but the first that the star-studded ceremony had seen a host for 15 years.   An unlikely choice of host was Briton’s own Ricky Gervais, who had the nerve racking honour of keeping banter levels high. His targets included Sir Paul McCartney, Angelina Jolie, Steve Carrell, TV network NBC and the Hollywood smart set in general.   My favourite line of the night was: “Looking at all the faces here makes me remember all the great work that’s been done this year by cosmetic surgeons,” he joked.   He went down a...

Sweet Wedding Favours

Sweet Wedding Favours
We get lots of enquiries from loved up couples wanting personalised sweets for there upcoming wedding. However as I’m bitter and single I refuse out of spite. On a serious note we can very rarely progress, because of the general high minimum quantities required for promotional confectionery.   Very often we can get asked for promotional rock sweets for example, the problem being that people generally want a couple of hundred and the minimum order being a couple of thousand.   However we are now able to supply promotional sweet jars from low minimum quantities, which would make an ideal finishing...

Remember St. George

Remember St. George
The fact that tomorrow is the 23rd of April means that it’s St. George’s Day – England’s national day!   His emblem of a red cross on a white background was adopted by Richard the Lion Heart,  with the king’s soldiers wearing it on their tunics to avoid confusion in battle! It’s only right then, that we will be drinking out of our St George promotional mugs tomorrow.   Our brews will taste even more refreshing, knowing that our promotional mugs where produced in dear old Blighty. The St George mug is made in the heart of England, and will feature a razor sharp screen print of...

Glastonbury Is Sold Out

For any unorganised festival lover, I bring you the sad news that this summer’s Glastonbury festival has sold out. The Somerset based festivel has sold out  a whopping four and half months ahead of time, despite having no headliners at all confirmed.   The festival organisers launched an early ticket deposit scheme back in October, with the majority of fans set to complete their payments by a deadline of the 1st of February. There is still hope if you’re still looking for a ticket -as any cancelled or returned tickets will be re-sold on the 5th of April.   This early sell-out is in...

Child Labour Is A Load Of Bull

In Mexico an 11 year old boy has killed six bulls in a single fight! Little blood thirsty Franco as been bullfighting since he was just four years old. In the past many of his fights have been banned after protests by animal rights groups, but this time he wasn’t taking no for an answer and the fight went ahead.   Some 3,500 gore lovers including many children, reportedly gathered to witness the fight at the ring in the eastern city of Merida in Yucatan State. The little matador is already an international star in the world of bullfighting, as he first entered the ring when he was just four and...

Burnt Out?

Burnt Out?
For any self respecting Scott, Saturday night was one of the biggest nights of the year (like they need an excuse to party). Burns night is something of an institution over the border, with everyone getting merry and taking the opportunity to celebrate the life and work of their national Bard.  Having (more than) a few drams of Scottish malt whisky and wolfing down haggis, neeps and tatties certainly sounds like a good night in to me.    Personally I can take or leave the piping precessions that lead up to the real business of all the eating and drinking. A burns night wouldn’t be a Burns night...
